I went to Ottawa on the long weekend of Victoria Day, and the main purpose was to watch the fireworks. On Saturday morning, I went to the National Gallery of Canada to see the art exhibition and then stopped by Major's Hill Park to see the tulips. There are really many colours. It was sunny that morning and the temperature reached 30 degrees, but suddenly there was a thunderstorm in the afternoon. It took a while for the rain to stop, so I went for a walk in the city center again.
The luck on the weekend was really good. Although the rain gradually became heavy after lunch, the weather turned clear in the evening. At about 7:30 pm, I saw the sunset, and the sky was cloudless. Packed up for a while and headed to Commissioners Park to wait for the 10 pm fireworks. Everyone thought that the fireworks show would be upstream, so there were a lot of people upstream, so I walked along Dow's Lake for a while, basically reaching the middle. I thought I would definitely not see the front of the fireworks, but what I never expected was that the fireworks show was actually opposite me, and I was speechless at that time. I haven't seen such a large-scale fireworks show for many years. When the fireworks exploded, I seemed to be back when I was a child for Chinese New Year. At that time, there was no epidemic, no fireworks control, and no worries. At that time, I spent years and years with a group of best friends. At that time ...At that time..., but those are forever fixed in the past, there is no longer the excitement and joy of watching fireworks as a child, replaced by another feeling. So I spent the 15 minutes that were beyond words with the firework show.
It may be that I was lucky on Sunday. I got up late at next day morning, so couldn't catch the morning train, and there were no tickets for the following two trains, so I only bought a ticket for the last train. Sadly, I went home at midnight. But I like to travel alone more and more, and I am looking forward to the next time.

Best wishes anyway 🔚
